This piece was an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s classic novella of the man who woke up one morning to find himself changed into ‘vermin’. This bizarre tale explores the relationships between Gregor Samsa and the members of his family and the development of these relationships when Gregor undergoes this drastic change.
The short story is intermingled with excerpts from letters Franz had written to his sister Ottla. The letters reveal a lot about Kafka himself and the parallel between Franz and Gregor is explored in a very dark and surreal setting.
